<p>Marco Cornejo is a mechanical engineering student&nbsp;interested&nbsp;in the aerospace and defense industries. Marco was born in San Diego to immigrant parents and is a first generation college student. At UCSB, Marco has developed a proficient understanding of fundamental engineering sciences and the skills necessary to solve real engineering problems in industry.</p>

<p>Marco has&nbsp;gained&nbsp;valuable experience in the aerospace industry through his engineering capstone project with Northrop Grumman Astro-Aerospace. Working in a team of five, Marco is not afraid to go out of his comfort zone and do work in other engineering disciplines, such as computer science and electrical engineering. As evidenced by the success of his engineering capstone team, Marco is an effective leader with superb communication skills.</p>

<p>Marco appreciates the experience and the knowledge he acquired from working with Northrop Grumman Astro-Aerospace through his senior year and looks forward to continue learning as he begins his career upon graduation in June 2017.&nbsp;</p>
