A member of the Sensors and Controls team on the Hyperloop team, Kevin primarily works on hardware design at every level, from conceptualization, component selection, prototyping, board design, fabrication (including surface-mount soldering), software and mechanical integration, and testing. A jack of all trades, he is comfortable working with members of any discipline in any system of the project, and frequently interfaces between the mechanical and electrical/computer engineers. His multidisciplinary skills and familiarity with all aspects of the project allow him to oversee integration of electronic and mechanical systems. As an electrical engineer, he is primarily interested in embedded systems, hardware-software interfacing, and systems integration. In his free time, Kevin works on K-12 science outreach and communication volunteering with the Science Olympiad at the regional, state, and national levels.
