MyLigraphy

Unmasking the future of lithography

Project Type:
Electrical Engineering
Year:
2021

Description

Lithography is a process used to embed patterns onto the surface of a material. It is an integral step in manufacturing small scale technologies like integrated circuits or MEMS devices. Usually, this process requires the use of a reflective mask with the device pattern pre-engraved onto it. Our group, MyLigraphy, is developing a maskless lithography system that is more appropriate for situations where the use of a reflective mask is inefficient. Such examples include microfluidic devices, certain MEMS structures, and prototype circuit blocks that are not yet ready for a mask. Our system allows the user to change their device pattern and manufacture with it at a fraction of the cost and time of mask lithography.
