Jose Jimenez is a fourth-year electrical engineer graduating in June 2017 at University of California Santa Barbara. He was born in the Philippines and came to the United States in 2006 when he was only 11 years old. He was accepted into UCSB with an undeclared major. After some thought he decided to become an electrical engineer because he enjoys working through challenging problems and has a passion for computers. In the electrical engineering field, he focuses on computer vision and signal processing/analysis. He hopes he can contribute on computer vision’s advancement and its impact on people’s lives. He also spends his free time playing various sports and video games. His favorite sport is basketball and football is a close second.
