Bermuda aims to address the problem of localized GPS loss that can be caused by potential jamming during cyberwarfare. Unlike GPS and its use of satellites, Bermuda uses cell towers to trilaterate an entity's location to provide a location tracking system that is more robust against jamming. The system is implemented by placing a multi-channel software defined radio, an inertial measurement unit, and a microcontroller on a drone. Bermuda receives and processes directional signals from cellular towers to detect the drone's location relative to the towers. Prior cell-tower geolocation data is then used as ground truth to determine the global location of the drone.
