John Paul has always had an interest in how things worked and how they could be improved. Then, while in middle school, John found a guide on picking a major. After careful consideration, he chose Mechanical Engineering. He led a math club in a junior college and won a college level competition for a space elevator design (both while in high school). Yet, despite this and top scores from his junior college courses, he was rejected from attending UCSB's engineering program, partially due to being homeschooled, as opposed to having the chance to rise to the top of a larger class. He was told by virtually everyone to give up, but John Lubran refused. He outranked dozens of other students in a GPA race for eight spots to transfer into Mechanical Engineering. 

If you need a job done right and on time, you need John Paul Lubran. He has the passion and dedication to ensure nothing gets between him and completing his objectives on time. College has seen him time and time again forced into leadership for this very purpose. When placed on a team, he takes the helm as soon as the objective starts to fade from reach (frequently before this point). After distributing the work load fairly, he turns around and makes sure no one falls behind. If they do, he seamlessly picks up the slack to prevent any delay. 

It doesn't really matter what needs to be done, either. John's dedication refuses to let anything, even reasonable excuses, get in the way of achieving success. While he'd always prefer to assign people to specialize on what they do best, if no one is available, he'll teach himself anything, frequently overnight. He's learned a wide array of computer languages and 3D modeling software, while also practicing and maintaining deep theoretical knowledge of engineering and physics, as well as learning new skills like video production. 

In his spare time, John Paul enjoys playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. In these, he can practice his leadership for a group of players, exercise creativity in creating worlds through 3D modeling, scripting, and political theory, and predict outcomes using probability and psychology. 

So, if you are tired of people shrugging off responsibility and want to accomplish something truly impressive, give John Paul Lubran a chance. You won’t regret it. John Paul Lubran is finishing his BS in Mechanical Engineering in June, 2017, and intends to complete his MS in Materials Engineering in June, 2018.
