Bio

Allison is a senior in mechanical engineering graduating in the Spring of 2017. Throughout various school projects, academic coursework, and internships, Allison has gained invaluable experience in designing, prototyping, manufacturing, and assessing the development of products. This experience has led to her interest in product development.  

Early on in her engineering career she realized she was also interested in the business and management of engineering. In her spare time, she started taking classes in the Technology Management Program at UCSB. In Winter of 2017, she successfully completed all coursework required to receive a professional certificate in Technology Management which speaks to her knowledge of business strategies, new-venture creation, marketing, finance, organizational behavior, and talent management. With this diverse background and hard work, she intends to become a manager of an engineering team. In a few years she plans on returning to school to obtain a MBA, allowing her to increase her knowledge and further her career.  

When Allison is not focusing on engineering and management, she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, whether it be camping, fishing, or dirt-biking. She also finds joy in applying her engineering knowledge to extracurricular activities, such as fixing up a motorcycle from 1989.
